Privacy Policy

FitCoach ("we") is a training app for athletes and coaches, operated together with this website at fitcoachhq.org. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what control you have over it. Questions: support@fitcoachhq.org.

What we collect

• Account data — email address, name, password (stored as a hash), optional avatar photo, app language.
• Profile data — role (athlete or coach), age, height, weight, gender, sports, fitness level; for coaches — bio, specializations, certifications.
• Training data — plans, workouts, logged sets (reps, weight, RPE), notes, personal records, body metrics, goals, and exercise or form videos you choose to upload.
• Nutrition data — meals you log, including optional photos and macro estimates.
• Apple Health data — steps and active energy, only if you enable the integration. Read-only: we never write to Apple Health. This data is used solely to fill your daily activity in the app and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health.
• Technical data — push notification tokens, device platform, and app-usage analytics (screens, feature events) to improve the product.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data. To anyone.
• We do not run ads and do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not use cookies or analytics on this website.

How your data is used

To run the product: sync your training between your devices and your coach, deliver notifications you'd expect (workout reminders, coach comments), show your own progress back to you, and fix bugs. If you connect with a coach, that coach sees your training data, profile, meals, and daily activity — that's the point of the product. Disconnect at any time; the coach loses access to everything except the history of sessions they coached.

Service providers

• Cloudflare — website hosting, CDN, and object storage for uploaded media (photos, videos).
• PostHog — product analytics inside the mobile app.
• Expo / Apple / Google — push notification delivery.
• Mailtrap — transactional email (verification, password reset).

Payments are not processed yet; when paid features launch, this policy will be updated before any payment data is collected.

Your rights

• Access & export — write to us and we'll provide a copy of your data.
• Deletion — delete your account in-app (Profile → Delete account). This removes your account and personal data; it's one action, no email required.
• Correction — all profile data is editable in-app.

Retention & security

Data is kept while your account exists and deleted with it. Traffic is encrypted (TLS); passwords are hashed; media storage is access-controlled.

Children

FitCoach is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13; accounts require a minimum age of 13.

Changes

We'll update this page as the product changes (for example, when payments launch) and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in-app.
